Meeting links

How a Heyno meeting link opens, what happens on each platform, and what to do when it does not.

Opening a link

Tapping a Heyno meeting link on a device with the app installed opens the meeting directly in the app. There is no browser step in between and no meeting code to copy across.

The link carries the meeting identifier, so the app knows which meeting to join without asking. If you are not signed in, the link is held until you are, and the join happens immediately afterwards rather than dropping you at the home screen.

On a device without the app

The same link opens the meeting in the browser. Nothing needs to be installed to join as a participant, and guests invited from outside your business take this path by default.

The browser and app experiences join the same meeting; there is no separate guest meeting.

If the link does not open the app

The most common cause is that the link was opened from inside another app that forces its own browser view. Copy the link and open it from the address bar, or open it from the calendar entry instead.

A link that has expired, or belongs to a meeting that has already ended, will open and then report that the meeting is not available rather than failing silently.
