Every call answered, transcribed, and understood

Calls are one of the surfaces Heyno works on, and the only one where the work has to be right the first time.

A call is a real-time task with no undo. The model has to decide what to say while the other person is still talking, using context it gathered before the call started.

Heyno treats a call as work in progress, not as a recording to process afterwards.

Answering is the easy part

Picking up is trivial. Holding a useful conversation while looking things up, respecting a policy, and refusing to invent an answer is the actual problem, and it is the same problem the model faces on every other surface, compressed into seconds.

The same guardrails apply: no committed price outside the rules, no promise nobody authorized, no fabricated availability.

Context is assembled before the line opens, not after the call ends.
Decisions made mid-call are recorded with the reasoning that produced them.

Transcription that survives real conditions

Transcription quality is measured on the conditions that actually occur: background noise, crosstalk, accents, poor connections, and speakers who talk over each other, not on clean studio audio.

Where a segment is genuinely unclear, it is marked unclear rather than filled in with a plausible guess. A confident wrong transcript is worse than a gap.

Uncertain audio is flagged rather than smoothed over.

Understanding versus recording

A recording tells you what was said. What a business needs is what was agreed, what was promised, and what has to happen next. The assistant extracts those as structured commitments and attaches them to the people and records they belong to.

That extraction is checked against the transcript, and a commitment the transcript does not support is not recorded.

“What did we actually commit to on that call, and by when?”

What happens after

The call becomes context everywhere else. A follow-up email drafted an hour later knows what was said. A quote built the next day uses the numbers that were discussed.

That continuity is covered in more depth in calls become memory your assistant acts on.

Where it stops

A call can produce a draft, a record, and a plan. It does not, on its own, send money, sign anything, or make a commitment that binds the business. Those cross an approval gate held by a person.
